On the 12th of December, Reunion Big Band will be swinging with our long-lasting friend, the fabulous SoulSisters! This gig is also our 20 years jubilee. During the years, we have played with SoulSisters in numerous gigs and concerts. On this Tuesday, the swing hoppers will enjoy a magnificent show, vocal virtuosity and great music by fantastic musicians.

Reunion Big Band was founded in 2003 by a group of old fellow students. We are 17 talented and versatile players, with musician Martti Vesala as our conductor. Reunion Big Band has strong Finnish-Swedish roots. We are very happy and proud of this heritage, which marks our activities, gigs as well as practices. 

SoulSisters is a skilled and experienced vocal group that has toured countries and territories for over ten years. The trio (Anna Wiksten, Pi and Heidi Kiviharju) cover a wide range of repertoire, focusing on this gig to old swing music. Strong vocal harmony, charisma and female energy guarantees a fabulous evening!

Tuesday Night Hop is a weekly event dedicated to swing music and dance. Once per month, Tuesday Night Hop and Suomen Perinnejazz ry co-arrange a LIVE night. All music lovers, beginner dancers, non-dancers and swing dance veterans are welcome to join the fun.

Come and enjoy tunes from the golden era of swing music! The band offers you all-time favourites and rare gems from big band giants like Count Basie and Duke Ellington.

Reunion Big Band has been reunited since 2003. With 17 talented players we hop the roof with jazz and swing, but as well with soul, funk and latin. Our conductor is Martti Vesala, also a trumpetist and a composer.

Tuesday Night Hop is a weekly event dedicated to swing music and dance. Our DJs play danceable music from the legendary artists of the swing-era as well as from more modern artists.

Welcome to enjoy tunes from the golden era of swing music! This family-friendly concert offers you all-time favourites and rare gems from big band giants like Frank Sinatra, Count Basie and Duke Ellington. The evening is hosted by Reunion Big Band, with Tobias Andersin (voc.) and Martti Vesala (trumpet) as soloists. 

Reunion Big Band has been reunited since 2003. With 17 talented players we hop the roof with jazz and swing, but as well with soul, funk and latin. Our conductor is Martti Vesala, also a trumpetist and a composer. Our vocalist Tobias Andersin is a talented and musician, performer and singer. 

This event is part of a concert series by the Finnish Classic Jazz Society at Cafe Carusel. The audience is offered high-class music in a welcoming, seaside café environment with a wide range of snacks and drinks for sale.
