Burt Bacharach is one of the greatest songwriters of the 20th century. His powerful ballads and pop songs are known world-wide, including such hits like What the world needs now, Anyone who had a heart, and (They belong to be) Close to you. Bacharach’s legendary tunes dominated the Top hits charts in the US in the ‘60s and ‘70s, and were performed by great artists like Dionne Warwick, Dusty Springfield and Tom Jones.
These beloved songs, newly arranged for a big band by Finnish musicians, are now performed by Reunion Big Band with the band of 13 horns, a rhythm section and our shining vocalist Iina Salin.
The concert is supported by Konstsamfundet, Svenska Kulturfonden, William Thurings Stiftelse and Gesellius Fond.
