Welcome to enjoy tunes from the golden era of swing music! This family-friendly concert offers you all-time favourites and rare gems from big band giants like Frank Sinatra, Count Basie and Duke Ellington. The evening is hosted by Reunion Big Band, with Tobias Andersin (voc.) and Martti Vesala (trumpet) as soloists. 

Reunion Big Band has been reunited since 2003. With 17 talented players we hop the roof with jazz and swing, but as well with soul, funk and latin. Our conductor is Martti Vesala, also a trumpetist and a composer. Our vocalist Tobias Andersin is a talented and musician, performer and singer. 

This event is part of a concert series by the Finnish Classic Jazz Society at Cafe Carusel. The audience is offered high-class music in a welcoming, seaside café environment with a wide range of snacks and drinks for sale.

​The best way to kick off the new year 2020! As the peak of a weekend filled with big band music, we offer an open jam session in the music theatre Kapsäkki, located in the Vallila district of Helsinki.
 
On Sunday the 12th of January, the stage is set for saxes, trumpets, trombones, the rhythm section and singers to play together. Welcome to listen and join us on stage! Let’s enjoy great music in fabulous company.
