You're warmly invited to a swinging evening with Christmas jazz! Join us at the cozy On The Rocks club for a special concert by Reunion Big Band, featuring the soulful vocals of Sami Pitkämö. It's the perfect opportunity to enjoy outstanding big band music with friends and family.

Reunion Big Band has been reunited since 2003. With 17 talented players Reunion Big Band hops the roof with jazz and swing, but as well with soul, funk and latin. Our conductor is Martti Vesala, also a trumpetist and composer.

Sami Pitkämö is a famous multi-talented musician and composer. Besides leading his own bands on numerous TV shows, he is a great interpreter of the classic swing tunes.

On The Rocks is a popular music bar & live club in the heart of Helsinki, at Mikonkatu 13.

Myyr York Park returns in August! On the August 24th, Reunion Big Band will be performing together with charismatic Juha Viitala as our soloist. The event is free of charge.

Our concert draws from cover soul songs, with clever Finnish lyrics making everyone smile. Together with Viitala, we interpret songs made famous by artists such as Aki Sirkesalo, Sami Saari, Kasimir, and Niko Ahvonen — all arranged in rich big band style.

Reunion Big Band is a 17-member big band in the Helsinki metropolitan area. Juha Viitala has sung as a baritone in the popular group Club For Five since 2011. He also performs solo and with his own band.

Myyr York Park - Vantaa Summer Stage
Vantaa Summer Stage returns in August to the familiar urban event park, Myyr York Park in Myyrmäki, with programs running from August 1 to August 24, 2025. In addition to concerts, workshops, and children's culture, Myyr York Park offers food and drink sales during event evenings. Performances take place from 6 PM to 9 PM. All events are free of charge.

This year again, five fantastic ensembles will perform a diverse selection of big band music, ranging from groovy summer hits to traditional big band tunes.

Welcome to embark on our adventures with the secret agent!

In the midst of Christmas time, Reunion Big Band performs the iconic music from James Bond movies with Iina Salin as soloist.

Like the films, the Bond soundtracks are famous and loved by many. The themes have been performed by many great artists, such as Shirley Bassey, Nancy Sinatra, Tina Turner, Tom Jones, Madonna and Adele. 

As the soloist of the Reunion Big Band, Bond tunes are represented by the great singer Iina Salin. Salin works versatile in the field of music: as a soloist, backing singer, choir singer, voice actor and as a singing teacher. The Reunion Big Band is 17-member big orchestra performing in the Helsinki Metropolitan area, conducted by Martti Vesala.

Sami Pitkämö is a musician praised for his wonderful voice and versatile skills. The general public knows him from TV, as he has been leading bands in the top television series like Tanssii Tähtien Kanssa, Obladii and Nevada.

This concert will include the wonderful swing songs from Pitkämö's solo album Lauluja Rakkaudesta ja vähän muustakin (2008). 

The gig will take place at the Myyr York Park, which will once again be built in the heart of Myyrmäki this summer. The Summer Stage promises great variety of music. Entry is free to all concerts. Welcome!
